Replay

A macOS menu bar macro recorder.

Do a task by hand once. Replay does it again, as many times as you ask, while you go and do something else.

The problem

A handful of graphical chores that no API could reach: internal tools, forms that have to be filled the same way twenty times, a timesheet. Work where the thinking is done and only the clicking remains.

Every macro recorder I tried was either a scripting language wearing a recorder costume, or a recorder that captured beautifully and replayed subtly wrong.

A recording you can read

Replay captures real clicks and keystrokes through the accessibility and event tap APIs, and the recording it produces is legible and editable afterwards rather than an opaque blob. Built with no third-party dependencies.
