MyPlaces
An offline field notebook for houses you visit on foot.
Coordinates, photos, and notes in under thirty seconds, for addresses that are a lane, a landmark, and a family name.
Why this exists
I walked about a hundred homes in Kishangarh, Rajasthan with my mother, distributing sweets. There was no list. No one had ever written these addresses down, and half of them do not have an address in the postal sense, they have a lane, a landmark, and a family name.
The constraint was the doorstep. You are standing outside somebody’s house, they are being hospitable, and you have maybe thirty seconds before it becomes rude to keep looking at your phone.
What a real session looks like
Fifteen houses recorded so far, each with a photo, a captured GPS point, and an address reverse geocoded the moment you tap add, before you have typed a single word. No account, no server, and no sync: the list and the map both read from the same on-device store.
